Anderson Creek Retreat
Anderson Creek, a mountain community next to the Chattahoochee National Forest Permit No. 1057 between Ellijay and Dahlonega, is a blend of land, history and lifestyle. With 1,500 acres in the heart of Georgia's finest outdoor recreation country, Anderson Creek is just over the ridge from the Appalachian Trail, Amicalola Falls, two wilderness areas, Lake Blue Ridge and several whitewater rivers.
A rare example of stewardship, Anderson Creek offers private homesites of three acres or more and large acreage tracts. All are carefully planned to preserve the rural look and feel of the southern Appalachians and to protect wildlife habitat, water quality and open space. The ruins of early settler log cabins are set aside as heritage sites.
Thoughtful architectural guidelines and covenants preserve regional architectural styles and ensure long-term property values.
A healthy outdoor lifestyle is at the heart of the Anderson Creek experience. Fifteen miles of trails are at your back door for hiking, horseback riding and biking to spring creeks, trout streams, high mountain ridges, a lake, wildflower meadows and 19th century homestead ruins. Anderson Creek Preserve, a 75-acre, mile long park along Anderson Creek features a timber frame and stone shelter with fireplace, a stone bathhouse, camp sites, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and streamside hammocks.
For the equestrian, there is a barn and pasture. For owners and friends we have a mountain top guest house where we join the Chattahoochee National Forest.
It's no exaggeration to say that you won't find any place like Anderson Creek.
